Clementines are consumed mainly as fresh fruit because it is refreshing and has diuretic properties and like all citrus fruits. It is also characterized by a high content of vitamin C and is often preferred to oranges as it is less acidic.
The fruit looks like mandarin: the main differences are to be found in the colour of the pulp, decidedly more orange.
Moreover, it is never flattened like mandarins, but always well rounded. Like mandarins, it peels and divides into slices with ease.
The taste is more similar to orange, with a perfect balance between the sour and sweet.
